After semifinal loss to Inter Milan yesterday, Barcelona turn its focus back to La Liga title race. It’s a very disappointing game for Barca but they need to concentrate on La Liga.
The most feared team in football was beaten by Inter Milan by a 3-2 aggreagate victory in the two-legged semifinal. Midfielder Gerard Pique, the goal scorer in yesterday’s second leg match, apologized to fans and said that they weren’t able to control the game in the first half. His goal in the 84th minute is not sufficient to lift the team on the finals.
Bayern Munich coach Louis van Gaal admitted that he is relieved that his team will be facing Inter rather than Barcelona, in the Champions League final which will take place in Madrid on May 22. Coach Gaal said that he really hoped that Inter would win because facing Inter in the finals gave the team higher chances of winning the title than playing in the finals with Barca.
Barcelona currently leads the La Liga with 87 points, just one point above Real Madrid. The team needs to win four remaining games to secure the La Liga title. They will travel to El Madrigal on May 1 to face Villareal which ranked 6th in the league.
