Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov was scoreless in the first weeks of Premier League season 2010-2011 but he suddenly changed his game and now has earned a total of 12 goals. Berbatov, the all-time leading goalscorer for the Bulgarian national team, has won the Premier League’s Barclays Golden Boot ’1-goal’ Landmark Award after being the first player in the league to hit double figures this 2010-2011 season. He is also the fourth Manchester United player next to former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo to win the said award and joins the list of Premier League players to score 5 goals in a single match. His unparalleled performance is one of the major reasons why the Red Devils are on top.

Before their clash against Chelsea this Monday, the Bulgarian was presented by this 10-goal landmark award. One of the defining moment for Dimitar Berbatov this season is the game with Blackburn Rovers which earned him 5 goals (View: Berbatov Scored 5 Goals Against Blackburn), added with his goals from the match with West Ham, Everton, and Liverpool at the Old Trafford.
Along with Berbatov’s 10-goal, City’s Carlos Tevez might also have this landmark award as he currently owns 9 goals this season.
TRIVIA: Liverpool striker Fernando Torres is the previous winner of the Golden Boot ’10-goal’ Landmark Award (2009-2010).
