England vs Algeria is the last game set for today, June 18, for the 2010 FIFA World Cup group stage matches. England vs Algeria live match will be held at Cape Town Stadium at 2:30 p.m. ET.
England needs to win in this game. It is their only chance to stay alive in the World Cup. A lose would kill their World Cup dreams, a draw could complicate their succeeding games, but a win will put them at the the top with Slovenia, which has a total of 4 points so far. United States and Slovenia had a draw game earlier today (View Slovenia vs United States) which puts England at the bottom two.
Tottenham Hotspur center back Ledley King was ruled out of the World Cup tournament due to a groin injury which he suffered during their game against United States last week. King will be out for three weeks but will not be flown home early. Head coach Fabio Capello still hopes that he’ll be able to play the remainder of the tournament, if not in the knockout stages, then, maybe on the semifinal round or final round (that is if England will win on those rounds). Capello hasn’t decided whether to choose Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher, Tottenham Hotspur center back Michael Dawson, or West Ham United defender Matthew Upson as King’s replacement who will partner John Terry at center-back.
