Gabon vs Cameroon will be held at the Omar Bongo Stadium on Saturday, September 5, 2009. Gabon vs Cameroon will start at 10:30 AM EST / 3:30 PM BST / 7:30 AM PST. Finally the two teams will meet each other. Supposedly the team is scheduled last June 20, 2009 but because of Gabon president Omar Bongo’s death, Gabon Football Association requested to move the match for they believe that their president’s death would largely affect their performance.
Gabon is the top team in Group A of 2010 FIFA World Cup Qualification CAF. Alain Giresse team is performing well. They have a total of 6 points with 2 wins, no draws and no losses. Cameroon is the exact opposite of Gabon’s team. They just gain 1 point with no wins, 1 draw, and 1 loss. If ever Gabon wins in their remaining games, this will be their first-ever World Cup finals. But that will not be easy because Cameroon has powerful players like Achille Webo, Alexandre Song, Samuel Eto’o, Geremi , Jean Makoun, and Rigobert Song.

Gabon’s goalkeeper Didier Janvier Ovono Ebang said in an interview that the team is still has two challenging games. Their games on September 5 and 9 against Cameroon should not be ignored. Added to this, like any other player, Ovono also dream that their national team will be part of the World Cup. If it happens that will be a dream come true.
