Germany showed how thirsty they are to get the 2010 FIFA World Cup title. So far, they are the first team to scored two times in the first half. Actually Australia had the first chance to score in the fourth minute. Hull City second striker Richard Garcia attempted to score but unfortunately, it was blocked by the Germans.
Koln striker Lukas Podolski took an early fierce shot which serves as a reminder to Socceroos that they are one of the three most successful national teams at international competitions. He scored in the eight minute with a left-footed shot from center of penalty area.
The Germans are not yet done. Bayern Munich striker Miroslav Klose, who has an excellent goal-to-game ratio in international football, gave his team a two point lead.
Socceroos head coach Pim Verbeek seems to be disappointed and it looks like he’s finding a way to stop the Germans from scoring. How can they do that? Let’s see what will happen next. View our live results here – Germany vs Australia Live
