Greece vs Argentina: Argentina leads Group B with 2 wins, no losses, no draws, and a total of 6 points while Greece is on the third place with a total of 3 points.

Greece need to win by three-goal margin against Argentina for them to qualify. If they don’t want to complicate things they need not to draw, lose, or fail to secure a win by three. Else, they would have to rely on the South Korea and Nigeria’s game. If they win but failed to score for three goals but Nigeria beats or draws with South Korea then they’ll qualify.

Greece coach Otto Rehhagel knew that Argentina is the most powerful team in the group. La Albiceleste got top caliber players like Lionel Messi, Maxi Rodriguez, Carlos Tevez, Juan Sebastian Veron, and Diego Milito. They need stick with their trademark defensive tactics to prevent Messi and his troops from scoring. After building a good defense Rehhagel’s can use his three aces: Nuremberg forward Angelos Charisteas, Eintracht Frankfurt forward Theofanis Gekas, and team captain Giorgos Karagounis, to score for the team.

Argentina coach Diego Maradona will change the team’s starting lineup. Team captain Javier Mascherano and strikers Gonzalo Higuain and Carlos Tevez will be rested but Messi will stay.
