Real Madrid’s Jose Mourinho is currently facing a possible ban by the UEFA officials and he will be charge of touchline ban if found guilty regarding his actions that he ordered his team players especially Sergio Ramos and Xabi Alonso to commit red card so they will be sent-off in the match against Ajax.
Mourinho and other four players might face a one game suspension if they were found guilty about the “Red Card Order”. In the game, it was said that the message was sent through Iker Casillas and Jerzy Dudek wherein Real Madrid’s coach ordered Xabi and Sergio to forcefully commit red card to leave the time-wasting match against Ajax.
Xabi, Sergio, Jerzy, and Iker are not excluded and are also charged with improper conduct. The four Los Merengues players will be appearing with Mourinho this coming 30th of November. Added to that, Ramos and Alonso will be facing one-match suspension that will put them in the bench for the match against Auxerre next month.
Mourinho insisted that he is not guilty with the UEFA charge. He said that his team had a great performance against Ajax and that should be the highlight of the game and not the “red card” rumors.
General Manager of Real Madrid CF, Jorge Valdano, is not happy with UEFA announcement. This is what he said in a recent interview with ESPN:
“I can’t go into details but there have been many players who have done something similar and were not punished. Juninho was penalized financially. Ibrahimovic and Samuel, when they were at Inter, did something similar. There is no way to rely on the regulations. What happens at Real Madrid also happens at other clubs but UEFA are not as severe.”
