Barcelona striker Thierry Henry and Chelsea left winger Florent Malouda are also part of the team but manager Raymond Domenech decided not to put them in the starting lineup. Henry and Malouda were sitting on the bench in the first half and waiting for someone from their team to score. Domenech decided to put Henry with 18 minutes left in the game. Henry replaced Anelka. Three minutes after the substitution, Malouda replaced Yoann Gourcuff. But it seems that it is already too late for Henry and Malouda to score. Uruguay team has tough defense since the first half and it continued ’till the final minutes of the game.
